OUR CHURCH REGISTERS

MOST OF OUR OLDER REGISTERS, books and documents have been deposited for safe keeping.

 As a result, information about older entries are best sent, in the first place, to THE NORFOLK RECORD OFFICE at ‘The Archive Centre’, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DQ (Tel: 01603 - 222599)

COPIES OF ENTRIES  in registers still at our church can be provided.

If the entry is AFTER July 1st 1837 the required Church of England fee is £15.00 if you can specify full names, dates and details as exactly as possible.

If the entry is BEFORE July 1st 1837 and the register is still in our keeping, an additional fee of £15 is payable.

The Fee for a more GENERAL SEARCH (eg: going through registers looking for a name) is £15 per hour or part of an hour.

NB: The only current register is the Burial Register starting from 13th December 1866.

FEES ARE PAYABLE in advance by cheque or postal order. 

They should be made payable to ‘NECTON PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL’

If a search is unsuccessful because of inadequate or incorrect information being provided, we regret that the fee is not returnable.
